The product
- What is Roadanza?
- A road-trip planner. You give it a start, a finish and how many days you have; it returns a full day-by-day itinerary — stops, driving times, where to sleep and a rough budget — that you can edit without starting over.
- How does it build the itinerary?
- It routes the corridor you asked for, paces the days around the daily drive limit you set, and fills each day with places along the way using live place data. You see the reasoning in the plan itself: distances, drive times and what each stop is.
- Can I change what it suggests?
- Yes, and that's the point. Every stop, overnight and whole day can be swapped — you pick from three ready alternatives (or ask for three more), reorder stops by hand, or add your own place. There's no chat box to argue with.
- How accurate is the place information?
- Stops, photos and details come from live place data, and the itinerary itself is generated — so treat it as a well-researched draft, not a booking confirmation. Anything time-critical (ferries, permits, seasonal closures, opening hours) is worth confirming with the operator before you drive.
- Which countries does it cover?
- The United States and Canada, and Europe. Those are the regions the routing, place data and driving estimates are tuned for today.
- Does it book hotels or tours?
- No. We plan the trip and link out to the places; you book wherever you prefer. Nothing is sold through the itinerary.
- Does it work for an RV trip?
- Yes — choose RV as your vehicle and overnights become real campgrounds, with RV-appropriate fuel figures in the budget. One limit to know up front: we do not route around vehicle height, length or weight, so check bridge clearances, tunnels and mountain passes yourself.
- What about an electric car?
- Pick EV and the plan adds charging stops along the driving legs, sized to the range you enter, with energy instead of fuel in the budget.
- Can I share a trip with the people I'm travelling with?
- Yes. Every trip has a private share link that opens the full itinerary in any browser — no account needed on the other end.
Plans & billing
- Is it free?
- Planning a trip and reading the whole itinerary is free — we don't hide the plan behind a wall. Pro adds unlimited changes, longer trips and the extra place detail.
- What do I get with Pro?
- Unlimited swaps and AI picks, trips of up to 30 days, ratings, prices and opening hours on stops, a pre-trip check that places are still open, and up to 50 trips a year.
- How does the free trial work?
- The annual plan starts with a 3-day free trial — you're only charged when it ends, and cancelling before then costs nothing. The weekly plan has no trial: it bills from the start and you can cancel any time.
- How do I cancel?
- From your account page, in one click — it opens the billing portal where you can cancel or switch terms. Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are cancelled in your Apple account settings.
The iPhone app
- Is there an iPhone app?
- It's built and in its final stretch before the App Store. Until then everything runs in the browser, and trips you save now stay in your account.
- Does the app work offline?
- Saved trips are kept on the phone, so the day's plan opens without a connection. Generating a new trip or fetching fresh place details still needs signal.
- Do I need the app to use it?
- No. The planner is complete in the browser, on a laptop or a phone. The app is for having the trip with you while you drive.
Account & data
- How accurate is the place information?
- Stops, photos and details come from live place data, and the itinerary itself is generated — so treat it as a well-researched draft, not a booking confirmation. Anything time-critical (ferries, permits, seasonal closures, opening hours) is worth confirming with the operator before you drive.
- Do I need an account?
- Not to plan a trip. You need one to save trips across devices and to subscribe — sign-in is a link sent to your email, no password to remember.
- How do I delete my data?
- Delete a trip from My Trips, or delete the whole account from the account page — that removes your trips with it. The privacy policy sets out what we store and for how long.
